As Chief Financial Officer of SMTC, Mr. Sura brings more than 20 years of finance and operations leadership across the private equity, renewable energy, industrial, and automotive sectors. He has deep expertise in FP&A, private-equity value creation, M&A and integration, IPO readiness, and cash flow optimization, built on a foundation in engineering, operations, and supply chain.

Prior to joining SMTC, Mr. Sura served as Vice President & CFO of the Powertrain Division at Tenneco, an Apollo Global Management portfolio company. Earlier at Tenneco, he was Vice President, Head of FP&A & Strategic Finance. Before that, he served as Vice President of FP&A at MN8 Energy, a Goldman Sachs renewables spinout, and held roles of increasing responsibility at SunPower Corporation, culminating as Business Unit CFO for Residential Solar. He began his career in engineering and operations roles at Bloom Energy, Alphabet Energy, and other.

Mr. Sura holds an Executive MSc in Finance from HEC Paris, a Postgraduate Business Management from Warwick Business School, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
