John Caldwell
President and Chief Executive Officer 
As President and Chief Executive Officer, I take great pride in SMTC’s professionalism, technical competence and customer focus. Our success comes down to great people. Their commitment to service and their attitude and approach to solving customer challenges are the foundation of our many long term customer relationships.
Before joining SMTC in 2003, I was President and Chief Executive Officer at Geac Computer Corporation, one of Canada’s leading software companies. Prior to Geac, I spent 12 years at CAE Inc., the world leader in flight simulation and training systems. As President and Chief Executive Officer, it was my pleasure and my challenge to lead the company through more than a decade of dramatic growth.
In addition to my leadership responsibilities at SMTC, I serve on the boards of directors for several advanced technology companies, including Advanced Micro Devices, and Faro Technologies.
Jane Todd
Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer 
As Chief Financial Officer, it’s both my challenge and my opportunity to play a critical role in SMTC’s success, and ultimately the success of our customers. My team makes a significant contribution to SMTC's corporate strategy and working capital management. One of my primary mandates at SMTC is to ensure we continue to have the appropriate capital structure in place to support growth.
Prior to joining SMTC in July 2004, I worked for Agility Recovery Solutions, Dell Canada, Beamscope and Abitibi-Consolidated. My responsibilities at SMTC demand a strong track record in driving results, experience controlling costs and managing working capital.
I lead the finance and accounting team and help to prepare the infrastructure required to support the future growth of the business. I’m excited to be a part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial public company with such a bright future.
Steve Hoffrogge
Senior Vice President, Business Development 
As Senior Vice President, Business Development, I focus my time on the customer experience. I work closely with our Sales Team to welcome new OEM customers. Together, we establish a solid understanding of their marketplace, their end customers and their key business drivers. We do what it takes to make our customers successful. Once the customer is on board, our Account Management team ensures we continue to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions and high levels of customer satisfaction.
I joined SMTC in 2000 with more than 15 years of EMS experience under my belt. Prior to joining SMTC, I held various management positions in business development with Pensar Corporation.
The best part about my job is the people. Everyday, I enjoy working with a high caliber team of EMS experts. And I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of leading OEM customers from all over the world, in as many different industries. It’s most gratifying to play a role in the success of our customers.
Don Simpson
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Engineering 
As Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Engineering, I oversee the people, the systems and the processes that provide our customers with an innovative and customized manufacturing strategy.
I’m proud to be the longest standing member of the SMTC executive team. I joined the company in 1998 and since that time, I’ve collected experience from just about every discipline of EMS manufacturing. Before coming to SMTC, I worked for nine years in product development at Aironet Wireless Communications, a developer of high-speed wireless LAN products acquired by Cisco in 1999.
The most important part of my job at SMTC is listening. We listen to our customers to better understand their challenges and come up with workable solutions. We offer the experience and resources required to execute manufacturing strategies that exceed customer expectations, and keep our customers competitive in a changing marketplace.
Paul Blom
Senior Vice President, Supply Chain 
As Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, I believe success is defined by how fast and how effectively we can respond to evolving customer demands and global supply chain conditions. We provide our customers with supply chain solutions that save costs and drive efficiencies and help them capture market share.
I’m a veteran of Supply Chain Management, with more than 20 years experience in electronics manufacturing, supply chain management and procurement. Before joining SMTC in February 2007, I was Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management Operations for Celestica Corporation, where I was responsible for the company's global supply chain management, purchasing, logistics, order fulfillment and global inventory asset management.
Our customers count on SMTC for more than manufacturing. We give our customers high levels of supply chain agility, with rapid response to changes in demand, supply, product design and daily operations, coupled with a very sound approach to liability management. Our supply chain strategy is based on world-class service levels supported by core processes, customer-focused supply chain design – and some of the most talented people in the business.
Betsy Smith
Vice President, Human Resources 
As Vice President, Human Resources, I oversee the effort to attract, motivate and retain high performance people who put the customer first in everything they do. My team helps foster a workplace where people work collaboratively to make our customers successful.
I’ve been with SMTC since 2005. Over the last 20 years, I’ve held increasingly senior positions in Human Resources across a broad variety of working environments, including manufacturing, distribution and retail.
